Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill has urged WWII veterans to impart true values to young people and tell them that money and comfort is not the main things in life. “May you live long because the stories you are telling aren’t fairy tales. Your experience and the things you witnessed have a great power of persuasion,” the Patriarch said, addressing war veterans in the Church of Christ the Savior in Moscow on Tuesday. He called for a system of values that would impart high moral and patriotic ideals to the youth. “To preserve itself as a nation, a people also needs strength to be able to defend its homeland,” His Holiness said.
