Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill has urged the authorities to do more to support World War Two veterans, many of whom, he complained are currently trying hard to make ends meet. Speaking at an unveiling ceremony of a branch of the World Russian People’s Congress in Belgorod on Sunday, Kirill called for the creation of an economy that he said could contribute to improving veterans’ living standards.
