Moscow, April 14, Interfax – A practice anti-tank mine was found near the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in downtown Moscow.
Security guards found it near the cathedral when they were inspecting the territory and the adjoining car park, the source in law enforcement agencies told Interfax.
The mine was discovered near a refuse bin at the car park.
Engineers from the Chief Internal Affairs Directorate were urgently called to the site, but after examining it they concluded it was a practice mine, which is not dangerous.
The interviewee of the agency doesn't exclude that the mine was taken to the cathedral from hooligan motives.
