BISHKEK, April 7 (Itar-Tass) – All the entirety of power in Kyrgyzstan has gone over to the political opposition, Roza Otunbayeva, who has been elected Acting Prime Minister of Popular Trust Government, told Russian correspondents Wednesday night.
“We’re not appointing any cabinet of ministers,” she said. “What we’re doing is a provisional distribution of the areas of activity among ourselves and we’ll then fulfill the tasks we’ve put forward,” Otunbayeva said.
She indicated that Prime Minister Daniyar Ussenov had handed to her a statement on stepping down from his post.
“The main thing now is to stabilize the situation in the republic, to safeguard people’s lives and to rule out marauding,” Otunbayeva said.
