Russia buys land plot in Paris to build church
Russia has bought a land plot in Paris from the city authorities to build an Orthodox cathedral and the spiritual center, an official with the presidential administration said Thursday. The relevant documents have been signed in France's budget ministry, the official said. In early February, Russia has won an auction for the purchase of the land plot, which is located between the Eifel Tower and the bridge of Alexander III, built on the eve of the World exhibition of 1900.
